Rebranding ‘Our Museum’ for
Poole Museum.

Initial logos

These are a few initial ideas from our logo generation session. As a team, we focused on different themes and key words from the brief, brand proposition and key words from meetings with our client.

 

Chosen logo

This design was an instant favourite because of the simplicity and clarity. I created this logo by focusing on geometric shapes coming together to create formations.

The concept behind the design was to have a few different shapes coming together to create a whole, representing how when people collaborate and use their different skills together, something more dynamic and exciting can be created.

The waving man

This was one of the most successful elements of the whole design as it brought the design to life and made ‘Our Museum’ instantly relational and approachable. My original idea was to create recognisable objects with the shapes from the logo. I created animals, vehicles, more abstract designs and a little waving man. People instantly fell in love with the waving man so I decided to focus on him and let their imagination do the rest.

Our design was shortlisted and highly commended by the client and they said it would have been chosen if they had a stronger online presence where they could make use of the animations and comprehensive digital assets.
